maglieficio EMMEBIVI S.r.l. opened for business in 1955. Its founder, Cesare Bellù, brought with him his vast experience in the field of textile manufacture.

Emmebivi is one of the best-known brands of underwear in the Italian market, and owes its success and rapid expansion to the enormous care it takes in creating quality products and the attention it pays to the selection of the yarns it uses and the equipment it employs during the production cycle.

The company’s suppliers of yarns, lace embroidery and industrial equipment are carefully selected from among the best, most reliable companies, both in Italy and abroad.

Emmebivi produces high and medium-high quality articles, and its products cover the whole range of classical undergarments and underjackets, all of which are made from the best quality wool, silk, lisle cotton, blended wool fibres, and other natural fibres. These are all manufactured using a vertical production cycle.

Emmebivi can now boast a strong, well-consolidated position on the Italian market both among wholesalers and in the mass retail trade. It  also has a high profile abroad, where its goods are distributed via select importers/distributors , chain stores and department stores.

Thanks to its highly professional approach, the company, which is situated 20 km from Milan, has developed and expanded greatly over recent years.

In June 2001, for example, Emmebivi acquired Giorgi, another textile company, founded in 1962. Giorgi manufactures a wide range of garments for all the family - men, women, children, and babies.
